  1. i had an epidural , so i didnt feel anything after it was put in . so for me the contractions where painful .

  2. Everything unless you get an epidural.  Than it just depends on your labor.  and every labor is different

  3. Crowning was by far the worst part, but it only lasts a couple of minutes.  If you stay totally relaxed during the contractions, that will help prevent cramping, which causes most of the pain women feel.

  4. the contractions

the hospital room is second.  there is so much medical equipment. sometimes your like, i hope they don't use that on me.

  5. For me, pushing actually made the pain from the contractions get better:  So I say the contractions hurt way more than pushing:  Unless your baby is huge and you tear alot with no pain meds....  That kinda hurts as much as the contractions.

  6. If your expecting a baby dont even got there! You'll only terrify yourself.xxxx

  7. The contractions are definately the worse part of labour, for me it felt like someone was ripping my insides apart, which wen on for seven hours.Unfortunately for me i had no epidural because i had my daughter in the caribbean and they dont provide epidurals. Now 12 years later im having my second child here in the US and definately looking foward to an epidural. This is just my experience it may or will be different for you. Some women may say the head coming out is the worse.

  8. the contractions

  9. well i was in pain before i got the epidural and then i was fine and i could feel anything to push so it didnt hurt . but after the med wore off and all the next day i hurt and could hardly sit on the toilet to us the bath room

  10. labor unless you birth naturally.

  11. The contractions are WAY worse than actually pushing.

  12. The contractions SUck but when I got to the point where I could actually push my daughter out I had no pain. It was like a relief I think.

She was big, 9lbs3oz so I do remember the episiotomy (sic) but they don't do those as often now I hear.

  13. I had an un-medicated birth.

the WORST part were the contractions by far!! but HONESTLY! actually pushing him out I didn't even feel it, I was so excited that i was doing this, and was going to meet my baby i wanted him OUT the pain wasn't 'even a concern!!  I honestly believe that a lot of women don't want to see what their body can do, so they choose the meds, some actually need them for medical reasons, all pregnancies and labors are different, I have only had one child so that is the only pregnancy and labor I know, and that is my HONEST TO GOD EXPERIENCE!!! and if and when i have #2 I will go for it again!! I'm very very proud of myself as you can tell lol!! I hope i helped a lil :)

I have to edit some :)

I honestly have to tell you the best thing you can do whatever method you choose, is to have a calm setting, maybe light some candles around you and have the lights off, and if you are in the right mindset tell yourself you can do this!  The contractions are going to last forever it will seem, but remind yourself your doing this for your baby, and all this pain your going through will soon end and you will be holding your child!! I also have to say that post-pardum was not so bad for me, I mean of course it was gross, i bled like crazy for a few weeks, and couldn't wait to have s*x again!! lol!! but the worst part was my b***s!! they hurt like crazy and I got mastitis which HURT like crazy, and I got a yeast infection in my nipple cause my son was nursing and had thrush... so i guess the first few weeks were pretty lousy but as far as pain and tearing (which was not bad at all) I wasn't in pain, and I only tore a little and it healed on it's own.  Don't let all these stories scare you because you will physc yourself out, and think the worst, EVERYONE is different!! deal with it as it comes and just do your best to relax and your doctor/midwife will tell you if they think you'll have any problems with labor..... my midwife said I was "text book" i got VERY lucky! but you may too!! so don't let em scare u okay!! I wish you the best of luck (if you are in fact getting ready to go through this!)

  14. I would have to say after you've pushed the head out and they tell you to wait so they can check to make sure the cord isn't around the neck.

  15. Ohh God the contraction my dear.........I gave a normal delivery to a baby girl just 7weeks ago and I can't wait for the baby to come coz of the labor pain.

Just relax once the baby is out you'll forget all the pain.

  16. For me it was the contractions, the pushing part came as a relief as you push against each contraction and it kind of takes your mind off of them. I did it all without pain relief but if I was to do it again I would have hired a TENS machine for the contractions
