I want to start a blog for the non-profit organization I intern at and I just want to know where I would reach the most people.

You wouldn't really reach lot's of people simply by making a blog, you would have to promote the blog and let people know about it, so you can sign up anywhere and feel confident that you are on a level playing field.

Where you host your Blog will not impact how popular it will be. I would recommend using Blogger, as it is very easy to get started and maintain.
