No. 1 CRICKET!!!!!Thats a tough one though for No. 2... Probably AFL and NRL (which i prefer over AFL) its jut its tought because State of Origin gets such a crowd and viewers.... it rocks and i understand the viewing.. but AFL is traditionally Australian so its probably just a little more popular... but go LEAGUE!!! go Broncs! so they tie in popularity

It would have to be Aussie Rules in some states and the NRL in others then Cricket closely follow by Horse Racing.

AFL is the most popular for sure. The average crowd is over 30,000 with some home and away games geetting over 90,000. It is played in all states and territories.

League is only big in NSW and QLD and even there crowds only average about 10,000.

With the re-vamped comp I think soccer would be challenging for second place. It is the most played sport in juniours up to a certain age.

I think that in some states (WA,SA,Vic,NT and Tassie) it is AFL for sure but in other states (QLD,NSW and ACT) it is NRL.

Second would be cricket because it is the only game played national wide, but isn't as popular because it is a slower game.

I also reckon that surfing is one of the most popular sports in Australia.

Cricket is only popular in international matches. National matches (pura cup) are empty. AFL is the most popular. It makes the most money and its moving into former NRL territory.
