Basketball. The only reason I watch Olympics, and maybe gymnastics. Basketball is so popular, them Chinese are chanting for Team USA. Whooooooooo!

Last week swimming and gymnastics, this week track and field and gymnastics. It usually depends on whose in the events for America on how popular any given sport is. I think if Phelps had been from, oh, Russia or Australia and the closest competitors had been from other countries, while there would have been interest in the swimming events, it would never had the publicity that it did.

i think it depends what country you are from. for example, australia have a very strong swimming team and that would be most peoples fav here. i think it depends on what each country is best at.
