  1. I've read so many books, but I always forget them, even though I have loved many of the books I've read.

Dont hate me but the Twilight series has sucked me in, I read a chapter of new moon today (the 2nd one in the series) and was on the floor crying.

I'm going to look up the books you said they sound good.

I also really liked the book Stargirl and The Notebook that was beautiful, it had me blotchy and dehydrated from crying :)

  2. Some really powerful books are: Enduring Love, and Atonement by Ian McEwan, and Thomas Hardy books too, especially Jude the Obscure.

  3. Mere Christianity. Lewis gave me new perspective on my faith. Even non-Christians could get something out of it, especially from the morals that he teaches. Lovely reading, beautiful writing, powerful book.

I must say, though. The Lord of the Rings is second or in a tie with Mere Christianity. I just love that wonderful trilogy.

  4. Very mainstream but I think the most powerful book I have ever read was "Lord of The Flies". It's not my favorite by far though because my taste in books is light hearted comedy. Examples of Douglas Adams, Bill Bryson and Terry Pratchett.

However, if I were to pick a favorite powerful book it would be the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. ^^

  5. prob the power of one. that was a really great book.

another great one was the book thief by Markus Zusak. great WW2 book.

    and memory keeper daughter

    and my sisters keeper

    and steel you away

    and across the nightingale floor

hmm...the twilight series was ok...if your into that sort of thing...

  6. the old man and the sea

  7. Probably the Lord of the Rings and Catch 22.

But I do need to read a lot more.

  8. Has to be John Steinbeck "The Grapes of Wrath"

Read how Americans abused their fellow Americans and about the indomitable American spirit.

  9. "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver
