I think they are afraid to ask her anything sustantial, in the fear that she will blow them away with her answer.

I would point out that in the last big raid by the Immigration Service, we discovered the unemployment rates provided by the Federal Government were bogus numbers.  There is a 6% rate rather than 4.3, and that IS a few million people.  One to the next, after that raid, people turned out in droves to get a job in that place, and the hokum about.. no workers.. we need guest workers... is simply another ploy to lower wages while continuing production that puts money in corporate hands... only.

I think an interesting question would be about her stand on traditional "women's issues", which I would categorize as healthcare, childcare, abortion rights, education, etc.  Her answers would be interesting and important, since McCain's campaign picked her at least in part for her gender, hoping to get the female vote.
