The cause of death that happens least frequently? I don't think that can be answered.

But I do know of the rarest fatal disease for man. It is called progeria. Phil Donohue was hard pressed to get victims of this disease to be on his show a while ago simply because there were so few to call on. Anyway, this is a disease that accelerates the aging process of the body. A 12 year old boy would have the body of an 80 year old man. The absolute life expectancy of a progeria victim is 30, tops. Very sad.

The worlds rarest disease and cause of death is Podocytoma, cancer of the epithelial cells lining the Glomerulus of the Kidney. It was predicted several decades ago, but no one has died of it yet, as far as it is known.
