What is the most reasonable way to split costs on a trip with another person?

I'm going on a trip later on this week and I would like for it to be fair, everyone pays equal amounts. But i'm discovering that i'm going to be paying more than everyone else, and am to afraid of speaking my mind about it, however I know I have to so that I wont' get ripped off, it's only 10 dollars but still I could use that money elsewhere on the trip, what should I do, and how should I discuss this with the people i'm going on the trip with?

The best way is to ask if they are interested in going on a vacation to your destinations and where too. Tell that person how much it is then have them decide in whats the best reasonable fair price to split the cost.
