  1. Cream. Like a blank canvas & use the odd item to add colour. Don't clutter it as that is what makes it a stressful place lol. Sounds stupid but the less clutter you have in your room, the more relaxed you will feel.

  2. You cant go wrong with Magnolia, clean and fresh. But normally pastel colours are best to go for.

  3. i would go for a deep lilac colour...

  4. when re-decorating home, bedroom or any other room, always try to choose colors according to feng shui. in this case you will activate powers of 5 elements (water, earth, metal, wood and fire) and support all your lucky "areas" - this will attract love, romance, wealth, money, prosperity, luck etc etc

    good luck!

  5. Cream is usually good, however pale pink is nice. Pink is widely regarded by therapists to be a very relaxing colour.

  6. Well, I'm in the same situation.  But I bought a new comforter and will use that to base my wall color on.  Probably something neutral so I can change the comforter when I want.  Earth tones are always good but if you're looking for something soothing, I've heard that the color blue is a relaxing color.  Kind of like looking at the ocean.  As for style, don't go for the fad stuff.  You'll tire easy looking at it.  Keep it simple and accentuate with decorations. They can be changed more easily and less expensive than replacing a whole comforter and repainting again.

  7. i'v heard that cool pastel colors like light blues, greens, purples are typically the most calming. but i think it depends on the person. although those colors seem nice, for me they seem too cold. and warmer colors seem more relaxing to me..

  8. sky blue =p

  9. Cyan (sky blue)

Brings a sense of reassurance and clarity

  10. For the style I agree a minimalist clean look is more calming. I would personally go for a natural look with creams and green or blue.

    Look at spa hotel bedrooms:

BLUE and greens or purples that are more blue.

    * Good for relaxing and concentration -Use in bedroom, nursery (lighter & pastel blues), sitting room, study, bathroom, spa type rooms

    * If the color is too dark of a blue the impression created can be depressing and cold.

    * Do not use blues in rooms that SCREAM activity or need physical movement such as halls, dining areas, entertainment/fun rooms, or stairways.

  11. Pale blue & cream

  12. I've had lots of different colors and styles in my bedrooms over the years.  One that I liked alot was a periwinkle blue, celery green and white combination.  But the colors I have now are blue (on the walls), beige (carpet and bedding),, navy and brown accents.  It's very soothing.  I think blue is the best color for a bedroom.  Also keeping it as clutterfree as possible makes it more relaxing.

  13. Room colours go in and out of fashion. Mine at the mo is plain walls, so I only have to update the bedding and curtains..

  14. Cream, light blue or light pink.

My room is light pink at the moment and it's very relaxing, but quite girly, so i don't know if you'd like pink.

  15. bright yellow and black with dark purple ceilings

  16. Blue is calming
