What is the most relaxing music?

Question

I'm open to anything. Music that I could listen to when I'm just relaxing or studying. I've read that music with lyrics can distract you while you're studying but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance.

Soundtracks and scores I like. For example, Jerry Goldsmith's score for Rudy. Or the soundtrack for Something's Gotta Give.

I have always found Debussy to be very relaxing.  It is impressionist classical music.  You could also try finding pieces by Ralph Van Williams.  He is amazing.

     We all have different ways of relaxing; and what  kind of music one person might find relaxing, another might not.  I'll suggest compositions of two different composers, maybe one you will find relaxing, and/or conducive to studying.

Aaron Copeland: "Appalachian Spring", ballet music.

Gabriel Faure: "Masques et Bergamasques".

     Faure's music for the most part, reminds of some of the French Impressionists painters that became renowned in his life time: Renoir, Degas, Monet, Manet(but not Van Gogh).

     Faure's musical pallet I would liken to that of  Renoir's: misty, soft and has a "dreamy" quality to it.  You may, or may not find it so.
