I just went down from owning an SUV to a 2009 Toyota Camry. Is this a good choice? The reviews look positive.

  1. aa reliable car is how you maintain it you deglect it and it will bite you

  2. Mazda Miata, 140000 miles and (knock on wood) no problems. Yes  the  water pump has been replaced and so has  the front seal.

But it still has it's original clutch, and alternator.

I have owned other cars, but this one has gone further longer for less then even my Subaru cost for the same distance.

  3. I had an Oldsmobile '88(1991) that finally decided to bite the dust. It was a good car and did surprisingly well on fuel.

  4. 2009 Camry is a nice and reliable car.  Thank you for getting rid of the SUV.  More people ought to do that!

  5. any car is as reliable depending on how often you maintain it. It all boils down on how much you are willing to fork out on a piece of car for comfort

  6. I owned nearly 20 cars in 15 years.  The most reliable was a 1990 nissan sentra BASE model.

It was a 2 door, NO power brakes, windows, locks, tilt, cruise, steering.  It even didn't come with an outside passenger side mirror-FROM THE FACTORY!  It was a manual transmission of course!  It did have A/C and a cd player!

I got it at 80,000 miles from a car dealership for $3,000 and sold it at 160,000 miles only because I had to move out of state.  In all the time I owned it, it only needed a thermostat!  Incredible reliability and economy  that only held about 8 gallons of gas!  I owned that car when gas was like $1.01 a gallon!   I tried to find another to buy recently but never found a '90 sentra base model for sale again   : (

  7. The Toyota Camry is one of the top rated cars.  I bought a Kia Rio in 2002, and it's been great for me.  That's the thing though . . . buy new.  I never had anything but lemons with used cars.

  8. no..the 2008 camry was the most unreliable car i ever had. You'll see after a few months the black cover thing under the bottom of the car like in the front will come loose..and our air conditioning broke on it with like 15,000 miles. That car has gotten so much publicity but its no good. We got rid of it..Anyways the best car I have ever owned was a 1992 Honda Accord Wagon..it got in an accident and we had to get rid of it but it was in perfect running condition.

not only that,  everyone has that car! Toyota has made it extremely cheap to lease and to buy..I rather have some originality ..not to mention we paid 22k and sold it 9 months later for 18k

  9. my mom had a honda civic for about ten years then she sold it and it got totaled. But nothing happend to it. The toyota looks like a good choice, just remember that if you want reliability stay away from GM.
