  1. I once went to this restaurant with a friend in the Blue Mountains outside Sydney. It was called The Rooster (it is still there) and is in this old house with a view over the valley. The food was French and very delicious, but the surroundings were sumptuous with period furniture, deep red velvets and beautiful wooden furniture. The tables were set far enough apart so that no one could hear your conversation and the lighting was set really low that you could just make out the booths and quiet corner nooks with couples whispering to each other. The waiters also were very discreet and you hardly noticed they were there. The atmosphere must have had an influence on my friend and because suddenly we got very romantic and then next thing he proposed to me! I had to turn him down of course and the next day we recovered and were back to ourselves, but I still remember this place as the most romantic place to have dinner at!

  2. Tavern On The Green, in Central Park NY. on Valentine's Day. We sat in the main dinning room, it had a view of the park and about a dozen different beautiful chandeliers. We had wonderful service, a fantastic dinner with champagne. We took a carriage ride around the park before dinner and went to the top of the Empire State Building after dinner where he proposed to me! we've been married over 3 years now.

  3. the king charles at the don cesar on st pete beach in fl .

  4. I don't know if this restaurant still exists or not but many years a go I ate a place in Phoenix called "The Pointe at El Tapatio". The lighting, the view and the mood was very romantic and the food was very good too.

  5. The most romantic restaurant that I have been to was the Paza Luna.  They serve Italian food.  We had different servers that assisted us.  One main waitress and then one for our bread and a different one for our drinks.  The lighting was just dark enough.  It was a perfect evening.  That probably had something to do with the person that I was with.

  6. Arteries in Dallas Texas. it is a turning restraint high up i  the sky. you can see all of  Dallas when you are there. the only bad thing is that when you go to the restroom you  have to  find your table because the floor rotates so you can see all around.
