Taking all factors into account, what particular thing has humanity done that makes you swell with pride to be human?

I am sad to say that, I do not swell with pride about mankind.  Humans are their own worst enemy.  They destroy everything they touch and give nothing back to our earth.

I am ashamed to be a human.

Man kinds most accomplishment will be when they learn to co habit with all of earths creatures, without war and killings. learn tolerance, love, patience and work as one to help the world.

I would have to agree that NOT destroying themselves and the planet is a vast accomplishment for the species, given their entry level consciousness.

It is to be noted, however, that the general species has been interfered with by, at least, the so called "illuminati" types, who over the past several millennia have done their best to keep the general populace in a constant state of fear, and ignorance.  We were originally "designed" to be far wiser and more empowered.  

I say "at least" above, because there are some credible voices who feel that the "elites" are supported by off world "interests" with an agenda of their own.  The planet is several billion years old, at least.  It seems likely that there are other beings in an infinite universe, and that the planet has been visited by others, including some who may not wish us well   :))

One of the most spectacular accomplishment of mankind is the spiritual belief human keeps.  

Another most spectacular accomplishment of mankind is the artistry mankind learns and appreciates bringing the best out of life.  One such event is the Chinese New Spectacular performing art, reviving the people's appreciation in the beauty,  

authentic culture, and compassion.

Finally, the most important of all for mankind is the belief of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearnce, that brings bright future and peace to the world.

There are so many, tough to choose just one.  I think penicillan and antibiotics are one.  Many people would not be here today if it wasn't for this great medicine.  Also, the many different laws to protect children and animals against abuse is a great thing.  I'm interested in what the rest of the communties answer's are.
