What is the most timeless and prestigious sea race in the world?

The America's Cup has lost a lot of luster the last ten years as international "rock star" sailors move from boat to boat regardless of their or the boat's nationality  and corporate greed heads have taken the whole thing over.

Timeless? and a race that your average skipper and crew with a good outfitted boat can race in....not win, mind you but race in and do well? Bermuda, Fastnet and Hobart are the three in the English speaking world.......

The America's Cup.. it's also the OLDEST CUP RACE IN THE WORLD... it's been contested longer than ANY OTHER CUP EVENT in history.
