I think all the time about children who are born into poor villages in Africa or some other part of the world and I wonder if they ever think about how different their life would have been if they had been born to another family in a different country. I have no answer, to my simple mind I suppose I can't understand how that is fair. How one child gets a loving family, warm and safe home and a future and the other gets almost the exact opposite. I wish I knew why.

The thickest and most dishonest people at work always get managerial posts.  Intelligent people at work stop helping the firm as their ideas are usually stolen by the thickest, who then get promoted.  The firm stagnates at that point, closure follows very quickly.  I have seen exactly that happen far too many times.

Work hard and you'll do well.  It doesn't matter if you're as thick as two short planks and as crooked as a NikNak, just work hard; management awaits.

the fact that you can be born  beautiful, rich, and into a good family, while someone else can be born ugly thus teased forever, poor, and have an abusive family.
