the t206 wagner card has sold for over 2 million and just recently another wagner has sold for a little over 1,6 million. The story goes the wagner did not approve of the use of his image on cards from a cigeratte co, and most of the printed stock was destroyed. The few that have survived have always brought a big price.

The 1909-1911 T206 Honus Wagner card has sold for the most money, 2.8 million in 2007.

The Honus Wagner card is the most valuable but there are others that are rarer.  For example the first baseball card was Peck & Snyder Cincinnati Red Stockings team card.  There are fewer than 10 known to exist.  There are approx. 25 of the Wagner in existence.
