  1. 1st question.  It has provided me with a rational/scientific reason for maintaining the open mind that I have always had.

2nd question.  I am a professional archaeologist and have been for over 20 years.  Plus my open-mindedness and understanding of the diversity of our species has allowed me to be a better friend, a better leader, and a better person, both professionally and personally.

  2. To be more understanding about other people's culture and to look at both sides before making a judgement.

  3. To value the past and not to life for granted. It has been of value in raising my child. He had a learning problem and I was able to help him.  It has it's drawbacks because a lot of people don't understand where my thoughts come from, like why does this woman collect old tools and decorate with rocks. It has helped me figure out some problems for myself and others. Funny story, I once met a young couple whose baby had been crying for hours and they had no money for the doctor.  I told them to try a sip of Coke because it had originally been a medicine.  Out came the biggest burp I had ever heard from a baby or anyone.  They looked at me like I was Jesus.  Very strange feeling.

  4. It has caused me to think about things that I never would have imagined to think about, and increased my passion to understand the origins of life on earth!

  5. it has made me misanthropic.  bummer.  people are so dumb.
