  1. His motive is to annihilate the unbelievers.  He believes he is in his right mind.....our culture doesn't.  I want to know who could follow a "god" who orders people to kill what God has created?

  2. You have to understand that at the foundation of Bin Laden's motivation was a hatred for our CULTURE. Fundamentalist Muslims find much of our culture to be abhorrent and against their way of life. Couple that with a belief that he and his followers have an obligation to spread their belief system to the world, even if it means by violence.

Of course, he also hated our support of Israel and Saudi Arabia (even though he is Saudi himself). There was also a tremendous symbolic significance to hitting us on our own soil. That had never happened before. The Middle East saw America as this invincible presence and 9/11 changed that forever.

  3. it was a symbolic attack, to mark the day they declared an economic war on the USA,

  4. he was trying to destroy the capitalist nature of our society
