  1. Define "sky". Is the sky an object with a well-defined location?

The tallest mountain is Mt. Everest, at 8848 m. The second tallest is Mt. K2 (a.k.a. Godwin Austen), at 8611 m.

  2. This is a trick question, isn't it?

    All of them.

  3. Mount Everest is "closest to the sky," but Mauna Kea is the tallest mountain in the world.

"At 29,029ft (8,848m) Everest is the highest mountain in the world, but measured from top to bottom, below sea level, Mauna Kea beats Everest by 4436 ft. (over 3/4 of a mile).

Although Mount Everest, at 29,029 feet tall, is often called the tallest mountain; Mauna Kea, an inactive volcano on the island of Hawaii is actually taller. Only 13,796 feet of Mauna Kea stands above sea level, however, if you measure it from its base, which is below sea level, it is 33,465 feet. If you stand Mauna Kea and Mount Everest next to each other, Mount Kea would be 4400 feet taller."

  4. i think i learned something in the 8th grade. it said that mountains are as high as they are ddep.

so mount everest is 28000 fet deep and high.

but humans only look and care about the top part.

and plus thats the way god made it so lest just leave it at that
