  3. there are lots of names for them, but some of the more common are 'garden wall' and 'retaining wall' blocks.  They come in various shapes and sizes, so if you're looking for something specific, check around.  The size range is from 4 inches thick by 8 inches wide by six inches deep all the way up to huge blocks as big as 6 foot by 18 inch by 18 inch- which require heavy machinery to place.  I work for a concrete construction company and we cast some of the bigger ones, and we're a distributor for smaller ones.  You'll have to check around locally to see what's available, since it's a heavy item and I don't recommend you buying them off the internet and having them shipped.  There are many color, shape, and texture choices available too...so happy looking!
