Just a quick question. What is the term for those odd, protruding roots that stick out of the water and are visible above water that typically occur in mangroves and other coastal trees? THNX!!!

  2. Those are called " Pneumatophores "  OR ' Breathing roots '

    The literal meaning of Pneumatophore is  = Air Bearer.

    This is because they have / conduct  air !!!!
