What is the name/kind of this snake?

i have seen few of this snake several times (sometimes 1foot long and others 2 inches) on our front gate and today i caught one. i suspect they come from the vacant lot in front of our house. and btw i live in the Philippines.. here is the picture http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a72/blakpup/DSC01227.jpg

These must be pretty common in their range, they're not in my area, but pics of them come up pretty often with questions like this. It's a brown snake or dekay snake... someone else will tell you more. *screeches to a halt* wait a minute... philippines...

well it /looked/ like a brown snake.

i think its just a tree snake.. there harmless

What you've got there appears to be a dog-faced water snake. But I can't be sure unless I can get a close up side-view of the head.

well it looks like what we call them in the states here as a gardener snake they are harmless if that s what it is?
