What is the name of European death metal band where the lead singer killed his bandmate(s)?

I've been trying for the last couple of days of searching to try and find the European death metal band where the lead singer killed another bandmate. I'm probably not that accurate about the minor details because I can't remember all that much about it. I was telling a friend about the story and I wanted to find out the true details but I can't seem to find them. Can anyone help me with the name of the band? I think it was either a Swedish or Finnish band.

Yes it's a Swedish band. I know who you're talking about but it was ages ago and now I'm trying to find it.

Edit: The guy I was thinking about was not the lead singer, sorry . . . but his name is Varg Vikernes, if you should like to look him up. He collaborated with the Norwegian band, Mayhem, and killed one of the members.

sorry i dont know. haha thats horrible but it would probably be from scandinavia. they have alot of death and black metal bands.

You are thinking of Mayhem, from Norway.

Their singer killed himself, and later their bass player killed the guitarist (with the help of the other guitarist)
