Nastia Liukin, 2008 Olympic USA team gymnastics champion performed her Olympic medal winning floor routine to music from Well-Tempered Productions, a record label specializing in innovative classical music. The selection entitled 'Variations on Dark Eyes,' was arranged and performed by the Israeli virtuoso pianist Ilan Rechtman and features the violin playing of Lara St. John. The selection is currently only available on a CD recording entitled 'Gypsy.' Nastia performs to a Russian / Ukranian "gypsy" folk song called Очи черные (Ochi Chernye), which figure skater Sasha Cohen also performs to (nice departure from Nessum Dorma, in my opinion).  

If you have trouble finding it under the English translation, try under the original Russian title transliterated above.

Otherwise, there is a restaurant scene in the Viggo Mortenson/Naomi Watts movie "Eastern Promises" that features this song performed on accordian.
