  1. The Lehigh Valley "Black Diamond" ran through upstate New York! It went to Buffalo, NY down through Pennsylvania to New Jersey. Is was famous in its day (1920's-50's) when passenger trains were popular and frequently used by the public. The train engines were originally steam, then switched to diesel fuel in the later years. Like everything else progress changed the status quo and passenger trains become a thing of the past. Airline travel ruined passenger trains as it took all its business. Unable to keep up with mounting costs, the "Black Diamond" faded into history. It was one of the more famous trains to ever run the tracks in New York State, Pennsylvania and New Jersey! During WWII, the Lehigh Valley Railroad moved millions of U.S. troops to NYC to go to battle in Europe against Adolf Hitler and his n**i's! Hitler had ordered a team of under-cover n**i's to come to America to destroy the railways and although landing on America soil, they were discovered and the plot to de-rail the "Black Diamond" never came to pass! America and her allies won the war, Adolf Hitler was defeated long with Japan and Italy and the rest of history is just a memory of those that lived and exsisted during what is now called, "America's Greatest Generation"! The Lehigh Black Diamond train was a part of this great time in American history and a famous train that ran the tracks of New York State!
