  1. i guess whereas in soccer you score a goal in golf you hole out.

u can "hole out" with different scores, example - par, birdie, eagle

  2. there is no goal

there is a cup where you putt or roll the ball into no goal and the main goal is to always be under par

  3. Like how does the scoring work you mean?

There is a general rating for a golf course, which is called "par" The average full size course is usually a par 70-71- or 72. For example, lets use the par 72. You want to get around the course in 72 shots or less (which is difficult to do).

There are 18 holes on a course, and there are different pars for each hole. Either a par 3, 4, or 5. You want to get the hole done in par or less. So...

even par on the hole= par

1 stroke under the par of the hole = birdie

2 strokes under the par of the hole = eagle

3 strokes under the par of the hole = albatross (rare)

1 stoke over the par on a hole= bogey

2 strokes over the par on a hole= double bogey

3 strokes over the par on a hole= triple bogey

4 strokes over the par on a hole= quadruple bogey

So say if you had 7 birdies in one round (-7), 1 double bogey (+2), and one bogey (+1); your end score would be a total of -4. And compared to the par of the course, which is 72, you would have shot a 68.

    Hope that made sense.

  4. There is no golf goal . Be more specific as to what you are asking . People are not clairvoyant.

  5. In football and soccer you refer to scoring points as a goal.

In basketball a score is refered to as sinking a basket.

In golf scoring is referred as eagle(2 under par), birdie(1 under par), par(breaking even), bogey(1 over par), double bogey(2 over par)
