  1. starting from thickest to thinnest:low E, A, D, G, B, high E

  2. EADGBe starting from thickest to thinnest. Enjoy!

  3. In normal tuning; EADGBe going down, starting from the thickest/closest to you (when your holding it). The thinnest/farthest string string is the "first" (e) string and the thickest or the one closest to you is the "sixth" (E). The "fifth" string is (A) - just for clarification. Hopefully you can figure out the rest of the strings. If not, you've got bigger problems.

  4. From top to bottom (thickest to thinnest) they are E, A, D, G, B and e.

Each fret is one semitone higher pitched than the one before it.  The semitones are:

    A, A#/Bb, B, C, C#/Db, D, D#/Eb, E, F, F#/Gb, G, G#/Ab

    # means sharp, and b means flat.  Sharp means one semitone higher than the note listed.  So A# is a half tone higher than A.  A# and Bb are the same note because a half step higher than A, and a half step lower than B makes the same sound.  That's why I wrote them with a slash.

So for the thickest string (it's known as the low E-string because it's the lowest pitched), the notes are as follows:

    open:E

    1st fret, F

    2nd fret, F#

    3rd fret, G

etc.  Use the semitone list above to fill in the rest.

Because of how the guitar is tuned, you'll see that you can play the same note at different places on the guitar.

  5. hey buddy! good to start young, you learn faster.

okay, the thickest to the thinnest: left to right if u hold the guitar in front of you

    it's E A D G B E on standard tuning

also there are many different gauges, different thickness for a set of strings

  6. If you hold the guitar with your left hand on the neck (assuming you're right-handed), the strings are from top to bottom

    E

    A

    D

    G

    B

    E

The E, A and D strings are the bass strings and usually have a thin metal thread spun around them.
