  1. there is no such person. there are many thousands of languages, and even more local dialects. to learn them all would be impossible.

a person who knows many languages is called a 'polyglot'.

    hope this helps.

  2. Multilingual. his name is NoMan.

  5. Santa Claus does

  6. Mr. Con Artist.

    There is no such person.

  7. Why are you asking your question in the Special Ed section? Don't you understand that Special Education deals with people who have physical and/or mental disabilities?

  8. Liar - there are 6,800 known languages spoken in the 200 countries of the world - it is impossible for anyone to learn all those languages in one lifetime.

  9. Wow there is a man who speaks all the languages in the world...i can't believe there is such a man..However im curious to know who is he (if there is) and me too i want to know more than his name :p ...^^

  10. GOD?

  11. Omni lingual!!!?

  12. God

  13. I don't believe this is possible.  No one could do that

  14. I don't think anyone actually does (though you never know, might be on channel 5 sometime soon) but there is a guy called Daniel Tamat, who is a bit like the rain man, his mind is like a calculator, he holds the world record for reciting the most decimal places of pi, and he managed to learn to speak Icelandic completely fluently in less than a week, so if anyone could, he's the place to start. Sounds to me like whoever told you was just playing an april fools though to be honest...

  15. There are so many dialects and different languages in the world, it would be physically impossible to to know each and every one of them.

  16. there are thought to be over 6000 languages - no one speaks them all. Michael Collins speaks a few and has his own method of teaching them. Do you mean him?

  17. William James Sidis, possibly the most potent but least known mind of the 20th century could acquire the vocabulary of a language in a single day. This is very undocumented though. There is one man (already mentioned) Daniel Tammet who can learn a language in one week. There are 6800 languages and dialects so to learn all of them would be a mammoth task even for the above two minds (for Sidis it would take about 20 years and because of how Daniel's mind adapts and obsesses he might be able to pull it off if he spends every waking moment till his death absorbing vocabulary and grammatical structures). However in practice it's impossible as languages change constantly with new words being invented every day no man could do so (some languages are also inaccessible to many scholars).

However Mezzofanti is a well documented record holder for being able to at least write in 50 languages. A linguist experienced in etymology can acquire European languages very fast after 2 years of study. Though as a final answer I don't think it's possible.
