What is the name of that liquid doctors use to clean the area on the patients body before they cut them?

It's a redish color liquid, and whey they wipe it of, it kinda leaves a yellowish tint on the skin. Surgeons use it to clean the area they are going to be cutting open.

  2. Betadine which is 10% povidone-iodine in water. Surgeons have used surgical scrub of povidone-iodine and detergent.

  3. surgical disinfectant formerly iodine now a special concoction which is colorless but stinks. My doctor had me shower then douse the area with it, rinse then pat dry.
