Question:

What is the name of that new-age time-keeping method?

I remember reading a website that suggests that we increase the length of our days, and have fewer of them, now that we are not dependent on sunlight for everything. This person suggested that we would have longer more time to be active, and more time to sleep. There were a few other interesting points to this time-keeping system; has anyone heard of this?

A name of the system, inventor, or website would be most helpful. Thanks.

  1. Maybe you're thinking of that "experiment" by michael siffre that supposedly showed that the natural rhythm of the human is longer than 24 hours without daylight input.   But extending the day by ignoring daylight comes at the expense of depression and eventual mental breakdown.    Or, you could try Da Vinci's method of only sleeping in 20 minute intervals every 4 hours.  It may only work with geniuses and madmen, however.

  2. a time keeping method can not lengthen a day.

how you count time has absolutely nothing to do with the actual time. most of industry already uses the decimal system for time keeping vs minutes and the days didn't get any longer and no more was accomplished.

society already runs day or night, light or dark, summer or winter no new name is going to change that.

i hope you find your web-site and it helps you to have a longer day(of course you will have less of them)
