  1. It's a poison dart frog, likely Dendrobates azureus...a native of Suriname


  2. Poison dart frogs are from the family Dendrobatidae. They're found in Central and South America. The blue frog you're thinking about may be Dendrobates azureus.

    Toads (Bufonids), like the cane toad, are also poisonous. They secrete milky secretion from the glands in their skin. Bufonid poison is not fatal to humans, but it can cause a burning sensation if gets in contact with the eyes.

  3. There is also the Cane Toad.  Native to Hawaii but now an invasive species all over the world.

    Cane toads aren't native to Hawaii, they are introduced. They are native to Texas south through most of South  America. : )
