Freecycle, but there's been a lot of drama about it lately. Depending where you live, using Craigslist under the "free" section might be better. Good luck.

And good luck. The site seems confusing to me - haven't been able to figure out how to get to were I can use it. Been trying for over an hour. Maybe I'm not operating with a full deck today???

I know most thrift stores do not accept computers, monitors, etc. Try looking in the yellow pages under recycling. Many centers have free pick-up service. Some are computer stores. Or as was suggested, craigslist.
