What is the name of the Israeli fighter which is made from modified Mirage III's?

It is the Kfir  (Kfir means Lion Cub in Hebrew)

It was re-engineered from the Mirage/Nesher. The Nesher was the original version built by Israel. It was engineered from the Dassault Mirage IIIBJ. The Nesher was underpowered and the IAD decided to build it up, using the GE J-79 engine, to what is known as the Kfir C.1.

The Kfir first flew in June of 1973. It entered service in 1974, but were not revealed to the public until April 14, 1975.

The Nesher was the original Israeli modification of the Mirage111.The US supplied the new J79 engine ,which required complete redesign of the rear fuselage and a cooling inlet in the rear fin.

This meant that the Kfir (Lion Cub) was a development of the Nesher,the original modification of the Mirage 111.
