  1. Very subjective isnt it...some of my favourites:

    R&G Lounge: http://rnglounge.com/

    Ton Kaing: http://www.tonkiang.net/

    Yank Sing: http://www.yanksing.com/

  2. tommy toys on montgomery

  3. IMHO, the nicest Chinese restaurant in town is Yank Sing.  The food there is very good and the decor is quite upscale for a Chinese restaurant.  If you are willing to venture a bit out of the city, you might also want to check out Koi Palace (www.koipalace.com) in Daly City.

  4. Joe's Chinese Diner and MSG Storehouse.

  5. Big fan of Eric's in Noe Valley.  Also really like San Wang in Japan Town (not to be confused with the awful Sam Wo's in chinatown).  Tommy Toys was always good, but its been a number of years since I've been there.  Dragon Well on Chestnut is pretty tasty.  Not living in the city anymore I really miss San Wang - the handmade noodles in plum sauce and the Mayun Sayo (thats the korean name for a fried shrimp dish they do) are just downright tasty.  Kind of a dump, but boy howdy is it good.

  6. mcdonalds

  7. I second R&G quite good

Yank Sing - the absolute best dim sum ever!

More good dim sum at City View Restaurant 662 Commerical Street

    My favorites are:

Henry's Hunan on Natoma between New Montgomery and 2nd street, Battery at Broadway, Sacramento between Mongomery and Kearny Don't miss Diana's Meat Pie!!!

Tai Chi on Polk at Broadway  - Best General's Tso's Chicken in the city

  8. my favorite isn't in sf, its on solano ave in berkeley/oakland.  its called kirin and its delicious!
