The only birds to perform a backward movement in flight are Humming-birds and Sun-birds.

Well, Hummingbirds are capable of flying backwards. I do not believe any other birds can do this. They do not fly backwards all the time though.

I dont know of one that flies backward but as others have said humming birds could appear to fly backward while they are hovering also a kestrel hovers.
