Do you mean the Quetzal?  It's a pretty amazing bird, the only place in Costa Rica you can really see them is Monteverde Cloud Forest.  The colour of their feathers is not actually blue, it is brown, but they are iridescent so they appear different colours  from blue-green-red, pretty cool.
