I have went through many FM transmitters by know and I am ready to pay a little bit more for a better connection. Does anyone know the name of the cord that I can hook in behind my dash directly into the radio and the other end can come out by the glove box and to the middle so I can hook it up to my ipod? My friend had one like this before, but I no longer have any contact with him, so I cannot ask him what it is called. I have looked around here and the people at best buy didnt know, the best they could do was offer me a FM transmitter or a home audio cord (which wont work in my car).

Also as much information you can give me about it would be great.. like where can I buy it and how much and anything else would be very helpful. Thanks.

  1. I recommend the iSimple iPod integration. You can purchase them online or from retailers like Best Buy. I have one in my 05 Avalanche and love it, I hate FM transmitters and it's perfect. Easy installation and it allows you to control from the factory radio and iPod at the same time. Hope this helps!

  2. First place to try is going to be your manufacturer. They more than likely make the right adapter for it. If not, try AudioLink. Just make sure you get the one for your car though (they're not generic)!

    I bought one for my car, and it seems to work well. Also, try an mount from ProClipUSA: http://www.proclipusa.com

    Between the two (audiolink and proclip), there's really no cleaner way to install an iPod in your car.

  3. You should know that NOT every car radio has extra input for Ipod.  If your car has it then the connectors would be one of these;
