  1. Frank Haddon picks either patterson or parks in that position..depending on what tactics they want to play at any given time..

Ps....as a welsh fan...I really like what Edinburgh have done this season..God it's so fffing great to have  a scottish region playing genuinely good stuff...don't think they lost once in Wales all season...Brilliant..hope it is the precursor to good things..

  2. You'll be referring to Chris Patterson who can play in most places on the back line.  He is often selected on the wing for Gloucester & Scotland but states a preference for play at fly-half.

Dan Parks is more often selected at fly-half for Scotland just to accommodate his kicking game (from hand) which is marginally stronger than Patterson's.  He is nowhere as good a player as Patterson when running with the ball in hand.

  3. The fly half is actually Dan Parks.

But, you're referring to Chirs Patterson ( commonly call him Perfect Patters) who hasn't missed a kick for ages for Scotland.

"Statistically he is the best goal kicker in the world, having kicked an astonishing 33 consecutive goals as of 15 March 2008, not missing a single attempt during the 2007 Rugby World Cup or the 2008 Six Nations Championship."

Patterson hadly ever plkays at fly half, it's nearly always a winger or fullback.

  4. They haven't got one. Their kicker is Chris Paterson who is a full back. Dan Parks has been filling in at outside half until they can find someone decent.

  5. Chris Patterson.

He does miss kicks - sometimes!
