What is the name of the enzyme that would become elevated in you blood from excessive weight lifting?

My father went to his doctor for his check up and he said they found elevated enzymes in his blood. The Dr. asked my father if he had been doing excessive weight lifting, my father doesn't lift weights at all. So the dr. told my father to stop taking his cholestorol meds and come back in 2 weeks and see if the levels decrease. However, the levels didn't decrease when he went back. The dr. is sending him to a rheumatologist on the 18th. My father doesn't remember the name of the enzymes. He is going to call the office tomorrow but does anyone know what the name of the enzyme could be?

Creatinine kinase, or CK for short. It can be permanently elevated in some people, especially in those of african descent.
