  1. It has to be St. Fin Barre's cathedral, a place of worship since the 7th century.The foundation stone of the present building was laid in 1865. Willliam Burges was the architect.  The Resurrection Angel on the pinnacle of the sanctuary roof was a gift from Burges to the Cathedral. It is made from copper and covered with gold leaf. No fewer than 1,260 pieces of sculpture were built into the fabric of the cathedral.
