The train didn't actually have a name but the engine pulling it was called Mallard.

For the record Mallard No. 4468 (later renumbered 60022) driven by Driver Duddington, hit 126 miles an hour (measured over a 1/4 mile) on 3rd July 1938 on the Grantham to Peterborough line pulling 7 coaches.
