It's Capoeira from Brazil. Eddie is my favorite Tekken character to use.

And contrary to a statement made above, it's not a minimal contact sport. The origin of it was actually one of the most martial of all martial arts; it was a means of defense from slavemasters. At its roots, it utilized methods such as concealing razorblades between one's toes, and slashing arteries with sweeping kicks.

Even in the modernized form of Capoeira, fundamentals which everyone is taught include eye gouges, throat chops, ear slaps, etc. The philosophy of mandragem (trickery, dirty fighting, whatever it takes to win, etc.) is still a core concept. Not to mention the differences in intent between regional and angola Capoeira.

The dance/game is simply a means of playing, and expressing culture. It's how a modern capoeirista hones their technical skills, but at its core, impractical as its techniques may be in some hands, Capoeira is definitely a martial art.

Its called capoeira. its brazilian. Its more of a dance than a martial arts in the real capoeira sparring they use minimal or no contact. Its not very effective I don't think but in games or movies it looks great. Id wanna see it in a real fight before id study it

Capoeira. Personally, my favourite style is Capoeira Angola. It's considered to be the original form of Capoeira. There are a lot of traditions in this style, and the players play their games in closer proximity than in other styles. Although there is a misconception that this style is slower than others, you'll find that some of the fastest and most interesting games are played in this style.
