it a old movie made in the 80's, i remember seeing it when i was kid, but don't know the name.

The plot is where the kitten is playing and gets lost in a river, the Dog goes in search of it and encounters lot of obstacles.

An orange tabby cat named Milo is a bit too curious and wanders off from the safety of his mother and the barn they reside. On the way he meets with a Chinese pug dog named Otis and they befriend one another. When Milo is playing inside a box floating in the river, he accidentally drifts downstream and Otis runs after him. Milo goes on many adventures, escaping one incident after another. Otis, for his part, follows Milo throughout, usually only an hour behind and less than a mile out of range. Finally, the two catch up with one another while Milo is in the hole. Otis pulls him out by means of a rope. Milo and Otis are reunited.
