  1. Apparently the restaurant was dismantled and went to New York in 1983 and then to New Orleans.  It was called Le Restaurant de le Tour Eiffel.  The new restaurant in the Eiffel Tower is called the Jules Verne.

Here's a fascinating link about it.  This article was published in 1983.

Here's an AP article about that restaurant.

A restaurant that was once part of the Eiffel Tower in Paris has closed in New Orleans, a victim of the poor Louisiana economy, its developer and chief chef said Thursday.

''We couldn't afford to keep the restaurant open,'' Daniel P. L. Bonnot explained. ''We're just not doing enough business now.''

In 1981 Le Restaurant de la Tour Eiffel was removed from its perch on the Eiffel Tower, 562 feet above the ground, when engineers noticed the tower was beginning to sag under its weight.

In 1986 the restaurant reopened here after more than two dozen partners put up about $3.3 million. A decorative crown of steel, reminiscent of its former home, sits atop the two-story building.

And here's the link to that article above that says what actually happened to the Restaurant de le Tour Eiffel.
