What is the name of the site that claims to find out if the government owes you money?

I went to freemoney.com, but I don't think that's it.

  1. Keep in mind that any site ending with "dot com" is not a legitimate government site, and may be trying to rip you off by charging you a fee for something you could do yourself for free on the actual "dot gov" site.

    Here's the "dot gov" site with a list of links where you can find out if there's any government money available to you. Note especially the links to the list of state Web sites that do the same thing -- most people who get unexpected unclaimed money from the government find it from their *state* government, usually in the form of an old bank account which they'd forgotten about and which has a few dollars in it.
