I would like to find out the name of the soup that kabuki restaurants serve kind of an appetizer before you get your meal. It looks like some kind of broth and sometimes has a mushroom in it, it may sound gross but it is amazing! Anyway, i would like to know what the name of it is, thanks.

  1. I'm not familiar with the restaurant you're talking about, but many Japanese restaurants serve miso soup. It's made from a fermented soy bean paste with tofu and is sometimes garnished with mushrooms or scallion curls.

There are plenty of miso soup recipes online, so I suggest Googling it and seeing if any of them sound like what you're looking for.

  2. its called miso :) yum huh!
