  1. 'Flip' rail indicator boards are obsolete nowadays, at least in the UK.

    The indicator boards now consist of a digital display which shows (in descending order) the 1st, 2nd & 3rd trains due at particular platform & how many minutes till arrival, how many stops on the way to destination, etc.

    Please don't press me to reveal the manufacturer of this mind-blowing amazing software because I honestly don't know - it could be Racal-Decca or something like that but I really don't know.

    All well and good until you get a fault in the computer system which means that a train going 1 way is indicated on a platform going the other way...

    This happened a few weeks ago and meant I was trundling off on a train going the opposite direction from what I intended...

    Your mission, should you accept it, is to think up some plausible excuses 4 benefit of rail inspectors while still trying to palm off invalid rail ticket as the right one.........
