What is the name of these trees?

i recently visited the san francisco area . we saw the most beautiful trees there but couldn't find out what the name was. they are very tall,the bark peels off and is smooth,the leaves are long and narrow and grow on long draping ,willowy branches. there were several of them at the zoo and they were always clustered together . next to a redwood they are the tallest trees i have ever seen. they were really concentrated in castro valley too.wheat tree is this

  1. I think it is very likely to be a eucalyptus tree ... these Australian natives have been introduced in many countries: plenty in California but also in Spain, India, Brazil etc.

  2. I think you might have seen "Eucalyptus Trees". They only grow in Australia and California where they were imported several years ago.
