I saw it on a TV show once and read about it in the book. Here's what i remember:

A lady lived in the house and her husband (or something along those lines died) so she renovated the house to confuse his spirit totally messing up the lay out of the house - doors in the ceiling/floors, doors opening to brick walls, windows opening to brick walls, doors opening to total drops off the side of the house, windows in the ceiling/floor etc.

I think the main floor was turned into a restaurant or something like that?

Do you know what house this is? i THINK it was in California but i searched it up and didn't see it under the California haunted houses list.

So do you know? Please help im going to the states soon (im from canada btw) and i want to see if the house is going to be near by cuz i would love to see it =)

THANKS!!! =)

  1. It's The Winchester house, In 1884, a wealthy widow named Sarah L. Winchester began a construction project of such magnitude that it was to occupy the lives of carpenters and craftsmen until her death thirty-eight years later. The Victorian mansion, designed and built by the Winchester Rifle heiress, is filled with somany unexplained oddities, that it has come to be known as the Winchester Mystery House.

Sarah Winchester built a home that is an architectural marvel. Unlike most homes of its era, this 160-room Victorian mansion had modern heating and sewer systems, gas lights that operated by pressing a button, three working elevators, and 47 fireplaces. From rambling roofs and exquisite hand inlaid parquet floors to the gold and silver chandeliers and Tiffany art glass windows, you will be impressed by the staggering amount of creativity, energy, and expense poured into each and every detail.

  8. The White House. Because we don't know what is the resident in the house were doing!

Its a really great place to tour, especially during Halloween. They give you flashlights because you go at night and everything. The house is a bit overwhelming because it has these crazy passages and stuff but its worth it. Take a camera with you...you'll get something weird on film :P
