What is the name of this piece or furniture?

Question

I am a college student who is moving into my 1st apartment and my mom and I were thinking of me just having a floor bed in my apartment. I don't know if that is the real name for it though...it's like a huge mattress cushion/bed that is on the floor. What is the real name for it and where can I buy one?

It's called a futon bed.  It folds out flat like a mattress and when you fold it back up it becomes a chair or a sofa.  They are made out of foam and are inexpensive.  You can buy them at Target & Ikea.

Just go to a store that sells  mattresses & buy a mattress and box springs.
